4. THE SLAYING OF THE PRINCE IMPERIAL , 1ST JUNE 1879.............................................................

"He fought like a lion, and we did not dare to close with him until he sank down facing us, when we rushed on him." Langalebalele, one of the party who killed the Prince, written to Sir Evelyn Wood 26th May 1880.
